Riviera Apartment - Terms & Conditions of Booking as of 18/04/2012
The Holiday Contract -The following terms & conditions (the 'booking conditions') will apply to your booking. A contract between you and the owners of Riviera Apartment will come into existence either (i) when we accept your booking & deposit payment by issuing written confirmation of your booking or (ii) if you have made your booking by telephone when we tell you on the telephone that your booking is confirmed. The contract binds you & all the members of your party. It is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party accept the terms of the contract set out in these terms & conditions of booking. Failure to disclose all relevant information or comply with these terms may lead to termination of the contract & loss of the booking.
Keys - A local 100€ returnable key deposit is required to obtain the apartment keys. Please note that in the event that any keys issued are not returned at the end of your stay, then the cost of replacement will charged to you, and you will also lose the key deposit. A printed copy of the Booking Form and appropriate identification will be required.
Check in- Check in arrival time needs to be re-confirmed 15 minutes prior to your arrival at the apartment. All guests will be met at a pre-arranged time and will be escorted to the onsite underground car parking. Guests will be shown around the residence and the apartment. The apartment inventory will be checked and guests will have the opportunity to inspect the apartment, to ensure all is satisfactory.
Deposits- A 25% deposit is payable at the time of booking. Bookings made less than eight weeks before your arrival date must be accompanied by the full balance for the holiday. (Please refer to the cancellation terms)
Balance - The balance must be paid so as to arrive no later than eight weeks before the commencement of your holiday. If the balance is not received by the due date then your holiday will be treated as a cancellation and your deposit will be forfeit. (Please do not send cash by post.)
Damage Deposit - A £500/625€ damage deposit is required with every booking and is payable 1 week before the holiday starts. In making a booking you accept responsibility for any damage caused by you or any member of your party and agree to indemnify us in full for any loss that we may incur as a result. Please treat the facilities & accommodation with due care so that other guests may continue to enjoy them. In the event that you notice damage in your accommodation please let us know immediately so that we can take the appropriate action. Accommodation will be inspected at the end of the holiday & you will be charged for any loss or damage found. The deposit will be returned in full within 1 week of departure if no damage is observed during the final inspection.
Payment Options - Payments can be accepted via online bank transfer into our UK / French account or by UK Cheque or by credit card (charges apply)
Cancellations- If you cancel your holiday more than eight weeks before it is due to start then your deposit will returned minus £100 ONLY if the booking dates are successfully re-rented, otherwise the deposit will be forfeit. If you cancel less than eight weeks prior to the holiday then the full balance remains due and is not refundable. We strongly recommend that you take out suitable holiday insurance. If you choose not to then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation/non-arrival.
Cleaning - The apartment needs to be left in a clean state. Internal floors need to be swept and mopped. All rubbish to be removed from the apartment and placed into the appropriate bins. Fridge/Freezer to be emptied. All Kitchenware needs to washed and returned to the appropriate cabinets if used. All cleaning materials can be found within the apartment.
A £50 cleaning charge will be levied if the apartment is not left in a satisfactory state.
Use Of The Apartment - Only those people listed on the booking form can occupy the Apartment and use the facilities of Antibes-les-Pins Residence. If this legal requirement is not met, your booking will be terminated & you will be asked to leave, with no refund made.
Changes To Your Booking - After you have paid your deposit you may wish to change some elements of the holiday. We will try to meet your request, however, a charge of £10 per alteration to the holiday will be payable. Any changes must be made at least 4 weeks before the holiday date & be confirmed to us in writing/by telephone by the same person who made the booking.
Arrival Times - Your check in arrival time as agreed on the Booking Form needs to be re-confirmed 15 minutes prior to your arrival at the apartment.
On your day of arrival your accommodation is available from 1 pm. Arrivals after 7 pm will be charged an additional 10€. Arrivals after 9 pm incur another 10€ charge. Our cleaners do need time to do their job properly so we ask that you do should not arrive at the Apartment before they have finished.
In order for us to prepare for our next guests we do ask that you vacate your accommodation by 10.00 a.m. on your day of departure.
Late Arrivals - Unless we are previously notified, you must claim your accommodation by 8.00am on the day after your holiday was due to start, otherwise your booking will be treated as cancelled.
Smoking – Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the Apartment.
Barbecues – For safety reasons, no barbecues of any type may be used within the Apartment or on the balcony.
Single Sex Groups - Single sex groups will not be accepted without prior discussion. We also reserve the right to refuse or terminate a booking where we feel that the comfort and enjoyment of our guests may be put at risk or compromised.
Disabled Guests - We are sorry but our Apartment has steps and is not easily accessible by guests who need to use wheelchairs. We are happy to provide as much advice & information as possible to people with disabilities who wish to holiday at Riviera Apartment. Please contact us for more information.
Cots & highchairs – A travel cot & highchair are available at no extra charge. Please enquire at time of booking. If a cot is booked please remember to bring your own cot linen.
Children - Please note that children remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times.
Dogs & other pets – We are sorry but pets are not allowed in the Apartment.
Right of Entry - We reserve the right to enter accommodation at any time under any circumstances or emergencies.
Unreasonable behaviour - We reserve the right to terminate a holiday without compensation where the unreasonable behaviour of the persons named on the booking or their guests may impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of other guests at Antibes-les-Pins Residence.
Availability of facilities - In some circumstances accommodation, entertainment or a facility may be temporarily withdrawn due to maintenance, renovation, adverse weather conditions or any other factor outside our control. We reserve the right to make such alterations as are necessary in the above circumstances without prior notice, & are unable to pay compensation for any inconvenience caused. Please note availability of certain facilities such as the swimming pool are seasonal - please enquire at time of booking.
Website Accuracy - We shall use our best endeavours to ensure the availability of all amenities advertised in the website or elsewhere. All information, pictures and descriptions published have been compiled from up-to-date and accurate information available at the time of compilation and are published in good faith.
Data Protection Policy Statement - We will hold information provided by you to us in connection with your booking(s). It will be used in connection with your booking & for informing about the Apartment. If you are on our mailing list & do not wish to receive any future news then please let us know by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org
Limitation of Liability - We accept responsibility for those arrangements of your holiday which are within our control, but we cannot accept liability for any injury, loss or damage, consequential or otherwise suffered by you or any other member of your party, unless there was wilful default by us, our employees or agents, or unless death or personal injury was caused by our negligence.
We are here to help - If you feel that you have any comments or complaints whilst on holiday, you should contact us during your stay so that we can try to resolve any problems as soon as possible. Any other complaints or problems must be brought to our attention in writing within 28 days of the end of your holiday.
Variation - We reserve the right to make reasonable amendments or additions to these terms and conditions without notice.
